Gail Acosta, Executive Director of the Council Rock Education Foundation, has announced she will be stepping back from her position with the Foundation. Hired in December of 2015, Ms. Acosta’s tenure has brought growth and expansion to the non-profit organization supporting students and educators in the Council Rock School District. She’s credited with developing new ventures and partnerships in support of K-12 education and innovative projects throughout the Council Rock School District. Moving forward, Ms. Acosta plans to continue her work with students and the community in the area of health and wellness education.

“Gail will be greatly missed in this role,” states Jill Shurtleff, Co-President of the CREF board of directors, “but we are honored and grateful that she will remain in a supporting role as a board member. She’s done an exemplary job as the director of the Foundation. She has created many strong relationships within our community, bringing valuable resources to projects that positively impact the students and educators throughout our community. We appreciate Gail’s excellent leadership, commitment, and dedication.”
